This book is a brief and easy to read guide. Coming in at less than 100 pages, it is clear and concise writing that will aid the laity in discerning how they can improve their personal liturgical praxis, along with the communal worship of the Church. It is divided into three core parts. The liturgical aspects of Prayer, Posture, and Patrimony are covered throughout. This would serve as a good primer for neophytes, long time believers who feel that they are lacking in liturgical catechesis, and those who benefit from reading commentary on the Liturgy.

Taking examples from both the Eastern and Western traditions of the Church, this guide serves to help the reader “breathe with both lungs” of the Church. As envisioned by past popes, Leo XIII and St. John Paul II, and the current Pope of Rome Leo XIV, we are called to look towards the East as a guiding light. Through a mutual understanding of both the East and West, we can see the totality of Christ’s vision of a Church united in liturgical praxis. Using Scripture and texts from both the Byzantine and Roman Rites, this writing conveys the importance of reverence, fear of the Lord, and fidelity to the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.
